POLYESTER MICA TAPE – AVAILABLE WITH US
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Polyester Mica Tapes comprises of high grade re constituted mica paper and electrical grade polyester film bonded with insulating resin cured to a B stage. Besides a high breakdown voltage, these tapes remain flexible after thermal treatment and permit the coils to be formed and shaped without risking damage to the conductor insulation even after pre consolidation of the straight portion and pressing of main insulation.
Application
Polyester Mica Tapes are recommended for use as conductor insulation (inter turn insulation) for both HT & LT electrical machines, transformers, half overlapped around rectangular bare or enamelled copper conductors. For high rated voltage coils, it is advisable to use a two third overlap or two layers of half overlapped on conductors. By choosing narrow width tapes, coils with a very narrow coil-head can be formed without the insulation being damaged.
Polyester Mica Tapes Available With Hatim Dielectrics
Polyester Mica slitted tapes are available in widths of 8mm and above in standard 200-meter rolls. These Tapes are supplied in standard 75mm ID plastic bobbins to facilitate machine taping. Plastic spool ID 40mm, 50mm & 55mm are also available upon request.
Deviations in specifications, construction, sizes or packing can be made upon customers’ requests.
Shelf Life
Polyester Mica Tapes exhibit a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture when stored at 25°C temperature and 50% relative humidity.
